About Gary
Gary Horsfield is a global supply chain executive, named one of the Top 25 Global CSCOs of 2025. He most recently sat on BIC's Global Executive Committee as Group Supply Chain Officer, Head of R&D and Global Category Leader for Blade Excellence and New Businesses. There he led the turnaround of the manufacturing business and turned its supply chain into a consumer-driven, globally digitised operation. During COVID-19 he was Interim Chief Operating Officer for Personal Protective Equipment at the UK's NHS and DHSC.
He built the team that delivered up to 62 million items a day to more than 53,000 customers. Earlier he led supply chains at William Grant & Sons, Mead Johnson Nutrition, Kellogg's and PepsiCo, and began his career at Mars.
Session Overview
Gartner's research is blunt: when CSCOs focus on cost control, their CEOs conclude the supply chain is not doing enough to support growth. This keynote makes the opposite case: that the supply chain is the most under-used commercial lever in the business, and that the leaders who win budget, board time and succession are the ones who can argue it in the language of revenue and margin rather than service levels and OTIF. A practical framework for translating operational capability into commercial value, and for making that case to a CEO.
