Paul S. Lavoie serves as Vice President of Innovation & Applied Technology at the University of New Haven, where he is leading the creation of a 130,000-square-foot Research & Development Park focused on advanced manufacturing, robotics, machine learning, automation, and Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies. Previously appointed by Governor Ned Lamont as Connecticut's Chief Manufacturing Officer, he coordinated statewide efforts to modernise the manufacturing sector — advancing reshoring strategies, next-generation production capabilities, and talent development. Named one of the Top 5 Chief Manufacturing Officers in the world by Manufacturing Digital Magazine, Paul works at the intersection of industry, government, and education to strengthen manufacturing competitiveness and build the workforce pipelines behind long-term growth.
