Streamlining Supply Chain Operations to Revolutionize E2E Business Performance
Implementing incremental technology changes to support business growth and technology integration
GROWTH IS SO FAST IT’S IMPACTING THE BUSINESS!
At Wabtec, a world-leading global provider of equipment, systems, and digital solutions, growth has been so rapid that multiple mergers and acquisitions started to impact business operations.
One of the key challenges has been how to manage all customer orders and invoices all coming from different, newly acquired companies, and distribute them to the correct internal business unit, accurately and in a timely manner.
With new legacy systems inherited frequently from newly acquired businesses, Wabtec needed a solution to move away from disjointed swivel chair operations, and be able to operate seamlessly as one larger company consisting of many high-functioning internal business-units.
THE SOLUTION - A STRATEGIC INCREMENTAL APPROACH
Working alongside Oracle and Trinamix, Wabtec utilized Oracle ERP Cloud Service to be deployed as an Order Management System. Though still in the foundation stages, Wabtec tested the new processes on just one of their many ERPs prior to rolling it out.
Having run the changes under a technology demonstrator project, Wabtec were able to get buy-in from the technology leadership, seeing how it worked before implementation.
By showing proof of concept, apprehensions were eased, proving that an incremental approach can be strategically advantageous.
By attending the webinar you will learn how to:
Consolidate disparate ERPs
Build value adding centralized functions
Automate built-in trade compliance
Integrate newly acquired companies
Accelerate your digital transformation journey!
