Cookie Policy for TFEST
Last Updated: June 3, 2025
This Cookie Policy explains how Future Insights Network ("Future Insights Network," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at [Your Website Address, e.g., futureinsights.org] (the "Website"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.
1. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Future Insights Network) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognise your computer both when it visits the website in question and when it visits certain other websites.
2. Why Do We Use Cookies?
We use first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Website to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Website. For example, Future Insights Network uses cookies to remember your preferences (like language settings), or to understand how users interact with our Website so we can improve its functionality and user experience. Third parties serve cookies through our Website for advertising, analytics, and other purposes, as detailed below.
3. Types of Cookies We Use and Why
The specific types of first-party and third-party cookies served through our Website and the purposes they perform are described below:
a. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential to enable you to browse our Website and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the site or completing forms. Without these cookies, services like secure logins or proper navigation cannot be provided. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. You cannot opt-out of these cookies as they are essential for the Website's operation.
b. Performance and Analytics Cookies
These cookies collect information about how you use our Website, such as which pages you visit most often, and if you encounter any error messages. They help us understand how our Website is performing and how we can improve it. These cookies do not collect information that identifies you individually. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous.
c. Functionality Cookies
These cookies allow our Website to remember choices you make (such as your username, language, or the region you are in) and provide enhanced, more personal features. For instance, they may be used to remember changes you have made to text size, fonts, and other parts of web pages that you can customise. They may also be used to provide services you have asked for such as watching a video or commenting on a blog. The information these cookies collect may be anonymised and they cannot track your Browse activity on other websites.
d. Targeting/Advertising Cookies
These cookies are used to deliver advertisements more relevant to you and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement as well as help measure the effectiveness of the advertising campaigns. They are usually placed by advertising networks with the website operator’s permission. They remember that you have visited a website and this information is shared with other organisations such as advertisers. Quite often, targeting or advertising cookies will be linked to site functionality provided by the other organisation.
4. How You Can Control Cookies
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie preferences by:
- Our Cookie Consent Tool: When you first visit our Website, you will see a cookie consent banner. This tool allows you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences by category. You can revisit your cookie preferences at any time by clicking on the "Cookie Settings" or "Manage Cookies".
